Art Classes

2018 Summer Art Classes

Beginning Watercolor Painting Workshops:  The instructor will start at the very beginning to explain the unique, exciting properties of watercolor. There will be easy-to-follow demonstrations of simplified techniques and skills used in painting landscapes, plus ample time to practice so that students will be able to continue painting on their own following the workshop.  Students who have little or no art experience are welcome; workshops are open to adults and to youth 4th grade and up who are accompanied by an adult. Students purchasing supplies from the teacher get to take their paintings, paints, brushes and extra paper home with them.

  • At The Coffee Roaster, 5022 Old Cheney Rd. Lincoln. This workshop will be offered twice: Friday, June 22 and Saturday June 23, 2018–choose one day or the other. Students need to register and pay $49.00 by June 14 as space is limited. Email Glenda to register:; payment may be dropped off at The Coffee Roaster (checks or cash only) or mailed to Glenda.

Supplies needed:  A 9 x 12 inch tablet of 12-15 sheets of 140 lb. watercolor paper, such as Strathmore, a watercolor painting kit (Prang or Yarka), one or two round watercolor brushes, paper towels, and a water container.  Or, supplies may be purchased from the instructor on the day of the class for an additional $22; let me know if supplies are needed when you register.

Summer 2018 Watercolor Weekly Classes:  Build your skills in watercolor painting.  These classes are designed for anyone who has already taken an introduction to watercolor painting class, including adults and youth 4th grade and older. Students need to provide their own supplies. Each class will feature a  demonstration by the instructor, focusing on what students want to learn.   Let me know you are interested!  Times/day will be decided soon. Classes held at my home art studio at 5401 Franklin St., Lincoln (there are  stairs and a friendly cat).

Private Lessons in watercolor painting or drawing: focus on what you would like to learn. Lessons are $35.00 for 90 minutes, scheduled at your convenience at Glenda’s home/art studio in Lincoln.
