Biography
Glenda Dietrich Moore is a native of Lincoln,
Nebraska. She
has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Master of Divinity degree from
Denver Theological Seminary. Ordained with the Christian Church (Disciples
of Christ), Glenda has served as pastor and associate pastor in
churches in Indiana, Iowa and Nebraska.
She teaches art classes and workshops for all
ages at community colleges, after-school art clubs, churches, and
in her home. Incorporating the visual arts, creativity and the
spiritual life, Glenda has led retreats and seminars for numerous
groups, including the United Methodists, Christian Church (Disciples
of Christ), Church of the Brethren, Upper Room Ministries, Lutherans,
and Catholics.
Encompassing a wide range, Glenda’s artwork
includes paintings in watercolor and pastel;
commissioned drawings and portraits in pen-and-ink,
pencil, and charcoal, and illustrations in oil pastel, and colored
pencil. Her works have been featured in books she has illustrated,
in magazines such as The Other Side, Alive Now!, The Progressive
Christian, and The Upper Room, and on posters.
Galleries throughout
the Midwest and Colorado display Glenda’s artwork. Her paintings
have been featured in many one-artist shows, and Glenda displays
her artwork at juried art festivals.
